The Patented Award Winning and critically acclaimed Hotun detect, is the world's first, in-tundish T/PRV and water tank overflow, water alarm unit providing an immediate audible and visual alert to the home owner or building user if the T/PRV or overflow starts to drip.

The Hotun detect alarm unit has been specifically designed alongside our innovative patented Hotun dry trap tundish range to help prevent boiler breakdowns, due to low pressure lock outs, and help save water and energy in water heaters and storage tanks.

The alarm is designed to give an effective early warning that something is wrong with the system; Hotun detect will give one of 4 different alerts depending on the temperature of the discharging water, thus aiding fault diagnosis.

With the early detection of water passing, water loss can be minimised and boiler lock-outs can avoided. Failures can then be rectified before something more serious goes wrong. With an alert, the homeowner or building user is reminded about the need for effective servicing of the appliances, so giving the engineer the opportunity of gaining extra servicing work.

The unit's 72dBA alarm, is loud enough to be heard (even behind a closed door or in the rom below if fitted in a loft) but not too loud or frequent to be too annoying. For use on all T/PRV discharges and water tank overflows.

Hotun detect can be used with Hotun shield (HS100C or HSSF) provided the cut-out in the shield is removed.
