MacDonald Plumbing Supplies Straight Auto Bypass Valve 22mm

The Straight Auto Bypass Valve 22mm is designed to automatically regulate water flow within central heating systems, maintaining consistent pressure and preventing pump damage. By diverting excess flow when thermostatic radiator valves (TRVs) close, it enhances efficiency and ensures quiet, reliable system operation. With 22mm compression connections, it’s easy to install and suitable for domestic and light commercial systems. An essential component for modern heating systems using TRVs across multiple radiators.

The Straight Auto Bypass Valve 22mm is a critical solution for maintaining balanced flow and pressure in sealed central heating systems. When TRVs close, the valve automatically opens to allow flow through a bypass route, protecting the boiler and pump from overpressure. This not only safeguards system components but also reduces noise and improves overall efficiency.

Fitted with 22mm compression ends, it installs easily without the need for soldering or specialist tools. It is particularly suitable for systems where all or most radiators have TRVs installed. By ensuring a constant minimum flow rate, this valve keeps your heating system functioning optimally even as individual zones shut off.
